Unfailing Love

Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone sins. Humans aren’t perfect. But the cool thing about God is that where we see imperfection, He sees beauty.

No matter how much we mess up in life, and no matter how much we sin, God will always love us! There is not a thing in this world you could do to stop God from loving you! Pretty cool, eh?

Romans 5:8  says:

“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”.

Personally I find this verse very meaningful. It is a good reminder of how God looks past all the troubles in your life, and still has an insane love for you. He looks past your sins, worries, doubts and regrets. He finds the good in you even when you can’t find it yourself.

Unfailing love is something that everyone desires from the depths of their souls. But are people really looking for it in the right places? The best place to start looking is in the heart of God.

God’s love for us is not based on our perfections or accomplishments. He’s not counting how many times we pray each day, how much money we give to charity, or how much time we spend volunteering at school or work. Nor is He keeping score of how many people we’ve brought to Christ, if we attended church last weekend, or how well-behaved we are with other people. He loves you for who you are… not what you have done.

God’s love will never fail, it will never give up, and it will never run out.

“Yet hope returns when I remember this one thing: The Lord’s unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise. The Lord is all I have, and so in him I put my hope.” (Lamentations 3:21-24)

  1. This article reminded me of the song “Your Love Never Fails” by Jesus Culture. It makes me think of how God made us all in His image and that He made us for a reason. God wants us to worship Him with our body because our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we need to honor His body that He gave us. Very encouraging article!

  2. You know that popular question?
What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?
In that question God’s love is the unstoppable force.
Thanks for these words of wisdom. 🙂
