Again and again I am constantly reminded of how much God actually cares about every single detail of our lives. Its amazing how He reveals to us how much he is in control. Sometimes in the most ridiculous ways. Through the little things.
He did exactly this the other night when my mom was making pizza for our family. She needed yeast for the dough and the only package we could find was three years old. Three year old yeast would be expected to harden the dough like rocks. My mom being the blessed woman that she is, prayed over the yeast. She prayed over it. When she told me I kinda laughed at her. I was seriously doubting that God cared about our pizza.
She reminded me that God makes all things new. She was right. The pizza went into the oven and when it came out the dough literally took over the toppings because it had risen so much. Wow. I was proven wrong. Seriously it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. Sometimes I think God has a sense of humor.
Not only did God revive the yeast, he made it so that there was an over abundance. It reminded me that God has everything under control. He heard my moms prayer and he acted on it.
The results brought me back to thinking of Fort McMurry fires. God is vast and powerful. He has no end. With all of the junk that’s going on right now around the world, He heard our insignificant prayer. Blows my mind. If he can handle such a small matter such as that, I know He can take care of the Fort McMurry families to. And we can help Him.
1 Peter 5:7 says :
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
And he does care for you. He cares a lot. I know that your situation may not be a for sure thing right now, and you may be waiting for matters to clear up. But one thing I do know for sure is that Gods love is bigger than your situation and what you are going through, and it will penetrate the darkest places. If you let it.
Tell God whats on your heart, he will hear you and wants to hear from you. In fact, he already knows yours thoughts and worries, give them over to Him.
1 John 5:14 says:
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
We can ask anything and God will hear us. Take advantage of this privilege. Its a blessing.
Don’t underestimate Gods love and power in the world, He is so much bigger. And He wont let his precious children slip through the cracks. Let God love on you in life’s troubled times.
