In any relationship, we are called to trust. Trust with abandon. No doubts. No worries. A trust that overrides every fear we entertain. With such standards is it even possible to believe such trust exists? There is one particular relationship that this trust is possible. The relationship between God and man. Perhaps one of the best relationships one could dream for. I would argue that it is. But it isn’t a dream. It’s real. A real relationship of a real God who loves His children unconditionally.
Wow…wow. Now I’m serious here, just take a moment. Think about it. Absorb it.
That God that we just talked about, our God, we need to trust Him. Through the good times and the bad times we need to trust Him unconditionally. With God’s love, grace, and mercy constantly surrounding us, how can we even begin to think that we can’t trust Him? I mean really, we are just these small little people living in a messed up world, but God still cares for us! He cares for you!
Matthew 6:26 says,
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
I know that my God loves me and is fully capable of taking care of me. That means that I need to trust Him, even when it’s hard. When I can’t see where I’m going and things don’t make sense — I know that I can trust Him. Trust Him with my life. He’s my all in all. And I can trust Him with abandon, all the days of my life.
