The peak of healing

Scars tell a story. No matter what they are from, they show something intimate, something that nothing else is able to show. They show something in your past, something that you had gone through.

I know alot of people become ashamed of them, trust me, I have been there. I used to try everything to get rid of them. I absolutely hated them. But I recently realized that my hatred for them had no point. Why hate something that shows something beautiful? I don’t think pain is beautiful, but I personally think the healing is. Pain is something that is kind of unavoidable, it comes in a lot of ways, but we always come to the other side of it.

Healing comes in waves, you have set backs, and thats okay. Sometimes we don’t fully understand our faith during this time. Sometimes we grow closer to God, or we move away from God. And thats alright. Every christian goes through that. We aren’t perfect, we mess up, and that is okay. God actually expects that. He knows we wont always make the right choice, and He will always be there to forgive us, but we need to hear him. His wisdom will guide us through the darkness.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28

When we go to him, He will take on our pain. And help us through it.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. -Isaiah 41:10

We don’t need to be afraid of the future, it will bring what it will bring, and God will hold us. He will help keep us safe.

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”. – Mark 5:34

In our faith, we become strong. God makes us strong, and that will help us so, so much. We can do this guys!

Healing is a beautiful process. Yes it takes time, and Yes it hurts, but along the way, you will feel so, so much better. Healing is kinda like climbing a mountain. It takes time, you get tired, sore, but once you reach that peak, oh your life changes forever. You have a different outlook on life, and thats something that stays with you.

Always remember, there is so many people that are here for you, Family, Friends, Pastors, Youth leaders, God. And the one person that is there no matter what time, place or situation, is God. You can’t scare him away. He loves you so much, and He will never give up on you. Even if you give up on him, he’s even gonna leave you.

No matter what you are going through, you will reach that peak of the mountain and your life will be so much better. Don’t give up, try to keep your faith strong, and do things that are good for you.

  1. Recovery from anything is the most amazing thing. It changes completely who we our- our opinions, beliefs, relationships; they key is to let God guide that recovery so we develop into who He has planned us to be. Pain can make us bitter, or it can turn us into something beautiful, and forgiving.

    • Thank you Gina. I agree, its a wonderful thing. and i think you are 100% right. we can let our pain create something better, something beautiful, but we can also let it take over our life. Thank you for your kind word, God bless.
