Pain is a pesky part of being human, I’ve learned it feels like a stab wound to the heart, something I wish we could all do without, in our lives here. Pain is a sudden hurt that can’t be escaped. But then I have also learned that because of pain, I can feel the beauty, tenderness, and freedom of healing. Pain feels like a fast stab wound to the heart. But then healing feels like the wind against your face when you are spreading your wings and flying through the air! We may not have wings growing out of our backs, but healing is the closest thing that will give us that wind against our faces.
I found this quote extremely relatable to not just me but to everyone who living or who has ever lived. It brought tears to my eyes when I read this quote. Most people who have read this quote can probably relate to how pain feels, and what it feels to heal. I’m sure everyone has felt pain and how terrible you feel after it. The truth in the phrase “We may not have wings growing out of our backs, but healing is the closest thing that will give us that wind against our faces.”. I find that this quote should be repeated in many public places and put in homes. I know I sound like an English teacher but just hear me out.
This quote applies to Christianity in so many ways, not just in pain but even feeling the touch of the holy spirit. I guarantee you will feel hurt emotional and physical and lots of death throughout your life. But what is the point of just giving up? I’ve seen so many people give up spiritually and just because they don’t feel like acting in the way of the world. The point of this is just to say, don’t ever give up or stop. I know this sounds extremely cliche or even cringey but its true. Don’t give up when your parents our friends don’t believe in you, spiritually or just physically. If you do give up you will feel as if the world has just started to move on without you. Eventually no one will remember what you did , but they will remember for what you felt, and how other people felt about you. Just because someone doesn’t remember or knew who you were that doesn’t mean that they won’t know how they felt about what you did or even tried to change about the world.
What I’m actually trying to get through is just because your in the downs of life, doesn’t mean that you can’t be happy because of what you have. Push and strive for what you want, just because you want it won’t mean you will get it, you need to work for it. Even for the work that someone does, it will always give back to them in some way. For example the most succesful people in the world like Richard Branson, he dropped out at 15, and then worked extremely hard to make the Virgin group, he is now worth about 5.9 billion dollars. Just because you think your not intelligent and things are not going for you doesn’t mean that you want have happy times in your life
