Truth or Tale?

Have you ever seen Thor the movie? did you know that he is a Norse tale, or even Zeus, Loki and so on. But there’s one question that I and many others struggle with in their faith; Is God real? This inquiry is so widely known because even as much as we can describe and prove him. You can only prove so much about him, there’s still mysteries about God that we cannot wrap our head around. For instance, In Deuteronomy 33:27

“The eternal God is your refuge,” but how does God live eternally? See it’s hard to wrap our heads around an eternity, and you know why? I personally think the reason of incapability to comprehend this verse is because, everything we know of, other than God, has a beginning and an end. Us, the world, galaxy and universe was born through God; But how did God come to be? We can make theories, yes. Though, as many theories we make in our opinions and interpretation, how can we prove this to be true.

1 John 5:13″These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

I feel like in the bible, God will give us some answers, but not all answers are given. He left parts of him for us to decide; Because if we knew everything about God and how he created the universe, would there be any question about, whether he is real or not? See, a lot of things he does, relates a lot to:

  • Freedom
  • Decision
  • Love
  • Faith

Without, an unanswered question, a mystery… or let me re-word this question. If you knew everything about God, would you even need faith, or even have to decide whether he’s real or not? To prove my point, I will combine to verses that I feel compliments each other to prove a good point about God and his decisions.

Genesis 1:26 “ Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Which the main thing that I focus is, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness.”

My interpretation of this verse, and correct me if you have a different idea about this, but I feel like It’s saying that he created us in his own image that it has said in a couple of other verses; But what is his image for us? I may not have the answer, but is that wrong? I don’t think so, we weren’t born with the knowledge of the whole world, with everything about God. We don’t know everything about God because he wants us to seek friendship with him and to learn more about him like we would with everyone else. And it’s ok for you to question your faith because through hardships, the bond becomes stronger.

So I encourage you, to seek God, truth, through your faith. To start that journey of finding him.

Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you
