So as most people know Heaven is this magical place that humans go to when they die if they believe that Jesus is the one true God, right? So what’s really going to happen in heaven? Is it just going to be one big church service with praying, singing, listening to a pastor? Or is it going to be another life? In heaven, it says there is no hatred, fear, disappointment, anger, sadness, the true necessities that make life on earth interesting.
Also, everything on earth can be a distraction from God because he’s supposed to be our top priority. So in heaven what are we going to do? Everyone is guilty of going on their phone instead of praying, or not reading their bible because you aren’t in the mood because “Not giving God my full attention doesn’t mean I’m ignoring Him”, right? Heaven is this big mystery and we are all trying to figure out what it is. If there are no distractions won’t heaven be boring? Don’t get me wrong living internally seems pretty dope, but if it’s such a cliffhanger
“Revelation 22:1-5 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever”.
That verse is backing up exactly what I don’t understand about heaven. In another verse, it says the streets are made of gold. That sounds like Atlantis to me. What is up with a flowing river in the middle of the city? And the tree that heals the nations? If there’s no more sickness in heaven why in the world would we need that tree?
Gold streets sound pretty cool but otherwise, heaven just sounds like a big church service with old people singing hymns in a choir with those white robes on 24/7. Where is the adrenaline rush of fear watching a horror movie? The honestly fun random crying just because? Is heaven really like this, or is there more to it?
